Join us for a F R E E Kids Mindful Movement class at the Chatham Community Library on the third Tuesday of each month. We will have a different program each month and it is a great way to get a glimpse of a class as a family!

Introduction to Mindful Art

with Samantha Boyce

Saturday, September 22, 2-4 pm

Get an in-depth introduction to Art & Mindfulness in this fun, engaging, and age-appropriate workshop. 

Our Art & Mindfulness classes are designed to engage children so fully, that they let go of worries and stresses, focusing on the present moment. Studies show that both creating and observing art can reduce cortisol, the 'stress hormone'*in both children and adults. 

This calming class incorporates music, art, and mindfulness techniques to allow children to focus and have fun while creating their art. Taught by experienced teachers, this non-competitive class is an opportunity for your child to let go and be themselves without any fear of judgement. For ages 5-13.

Gratitude & Movement Workshops

With Whitney Wilkerson

Thursday, November 15, 4-5 pm

Experience gratitude through movement and play with this unique workshop, taught by positive psychologist Whitney Wilkerson. Children ages 7-13 will learn techniques to incorporate gratitude into their routine, leading to a full and balanced life. Parents/guardians encouraged to participate. $25/family.

This class is fun for the whole family. Each month we will focus on a different KMM program, offering an opportunity to connect with each other and deeper within yourself.

November 17: Family Yoga with Darcy

Children's Yoga Teacher Training

with Molly McKinley

September 29-30, 9 am-6 pm

Do you have a passion for yoga and a love for children? Yoga Garden and Kids Mindful Movement's incredibly fun, interactive and educational teacher training is designed to provide current teachers and students with an existing personal practice with the tools and knowledge you will need to share the gift of yoga with children ages 2-Teen. 

Learn how to bring these life-affirming and stress-reduction techniques of postures, meditation and age-level appropriate activities by tapping into each child's emotional, physical and mental needs. You will be led through the principles of stillness, listening, grounding, strength and community by utilizing breathwork, yoga-based activities, social and emotional activities and guided relaxations.
